So I have come to terms with the fact that I am not the best blogger. When I first started my website, I told myself I would be posting blogs at least on a weekly basis - and that lasted for what, 2 weeks? In between photoshoots, editing, e-mails, bookings, marketing, Facebook, and generally running a business I have completely forgotten about my weekly blogging goal! Anyways, I'm here now, and I will make an effort to post more! 2013 has been keeping me super busy and I couldn't be happier!! I am back in school (for the 7th year) and have finally found a major that I love - Marketing! Oddly enough, it was my first major I declared when I attended Georgia State University at 17 years old....guess I had it right the first time! I participated in my first Bridal Show this year - put on by Southern Square Bridal and it was a BLAST! I met so many amazing people and am thrilled to say that I have booked 6 weddings from that one show! I am slowly upgrading my equipment and am totally in love with all of my new lenses.
When I photographed my first wedding, I knew that this is what I want to be doing...the only thing I love more than photography is helping my clients in any way possible, and providing them with pictures that remind them of the moments and emotions of that little piece of their life. My artistic/creative side is totally satisfied when I get the opportunity to photograph weddings, love, and all the details that come along with the big day; but my HEART is satisfied when I know that I have truly helped someone, and also when something that I have created with my equipment, emotions, and my eyes - can bring a smile to someone's face.
If the start of this year is any indicator of my career as a photographer, then I think I am in for a happy and totally fulfilling future. I am so excited to continue improving my work and become a better photographer every day. I would like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who has given me the opportunity to work with you thus far - you'll never know what it means to me to be a part of your life. Hope you all have a fabulous week!
